Law Enforcement Training
LocalGovU offers a WIDE variety of online training courses for Law Enforcement officers. Police officers and sherriff's departments can now complete a signficant portion of their training online, and in many states this training is approved for CEU credits by your state's peace officers standards and training (P.O.S.T.) certification board.
LocalGovU P.O.S.T. Approved States: LocalGovU is approved in 7 states and automatically submits the necessary information to these states to ensure that your officers receive their CEU credits each month.
- Maryland MPCTC approved -81 courses totaling 40.5 hours of CEU credit
- Minnesota P.O.S.T. approved - 76 courses totaling 38 hours of CEU credit
- Mississippi P.O.S.T. approved. - 25 courses totaling 12.5 hours of CEU credit
- Missouri P.O.S.T. approved - 84 courses totaling 42 hours of CEU credit
- Nevada P.O.S.T. approved - 88 courses totaling 88 hours of CEU credit
- New Mexico P.O.S.T. approved - 86 courses totaling 43 hours of CEU credit
- South Carolina Criminal Justice Academy - 90 courses totaling 45 hours of CLEE credit
LocalGovU P.O.S.T. Recognized States: LocalGovU is recognized in 3 states. These states will count LocalGovU courses towards your CEU credits (as stipulated below). Each police or sheriff's department must submit these to your state's governing body in order to receive their CEU credits.
- Kansas C-P.O.S.T. recognized - Your department's training officer can approve any of LocalGovU's law enforcement and corrections courses and submit them to KLETC to count as CEU credits
- Nebraska P.O.S.T. recognized - Nebraska P.O.S.T. recognizes LocalGovU's courses as CEU credits for any NIRMA member counties
- Texas TCLEOSE recognized - Your department's training officer can approve any of LocalGovU's law enforcement and corrections courses and submit them to TCLEOSE to count as CEU credits
