The Pool is committed to excellence in local government. We strive to be an essential local government resource for employee safety education and risk management services. Without a doubt, training is essential to loss control, employee development, and organizational professionalism. As such, The Pool is very pleased to offer online training through the Local Government Risk Academy. This program offers a number of online courses, many of which are written specifically for local governments and governmental agencies. This training program is designed to provide Pool members increased training flexibility. Therefore, online courses are available 24/7 from any computer with internet access. Equally important, this online training is offered at no added cost to members.

It should be noted that some courses will change on a quarterly basis, with new courses becoming available on the first business day of October, January, April, and July. To access the available courses, please enter the Username and Password that were assigned to you by your employer's online learning administrator. If you do not have an Username and Password, please contact your organization's online learning administrator.

In the event that you don't know who your learning administrator is, or if your organization has not yet registered to participate in the Local Government Risk Academy online training program, please contact Tahtia Carver, Executive Assistant, for assistance. Learning Administrators If you are your organization's designated learning administrator, and you have an existing account, and you and your organization's employee have already been provided access credentials, then your organization is ready to participate. As the learning administrator you may assign courses individually or by department. Simply tell employees to log in with their assigned credentials, and they can begin their training right away. If you wish to add a new employee to your online training account, please contact LocalGovU, our online training partner, at 866.845.8887 (between 8am and 5pm, CST, Monday through Friday), or by email at: customerservice@localgovu.com, and they will gladly assist you.
